Chloe was deposited at the local pound on NSW Central Coast and waited there for about 3 weeks for someone to come and get her. She is microchipped and is 8 years old and yet no one came to claim her. She was rapidly approaching the day that she would be given 'the needle' and she just sat and hopefully she waited for someone to come along and collect her. She had a tumour on one of her teats which meant that there was a cancer inside, and her ears displayed a history of chronic ear infections without treatment. Even with this health situations, she was so very loving and obviously very happy when we rescued her from the pound. She obviously had a least one litter, and has shown shyness from the hand which means to me that she has been hit. And yet, she is very loving, patient and waits to be told what to do. Five days after she was adopted by us, Chloe underwent some major surgery. She still received a needle, but this one she was due to wake up from. After having x-rays, She had the cancer in her mammary gland removed and both ears individually operated on to remove growths within the ear canal and right now she is healing nicely. She wears her "Easter Bonnet" with enduring patience and we look forward to when she can walk around with her lovely little head held high. |
